Ford Service. Nobody knows your Ford like we do.
General Servicing
Regular servicing and general vehicle maintenance is integral to reliability, roadworthiness and helping ensure your vehicle operates as it is intended. Servicing also allows Ford technicians to identify any potential problems or worn components before they become major safety concerns or turn into costly repairs. In order to make sure your car runs smoothly and hassle-free between scheduled services, it is important to carry out regular checks of your car's engine oil level, wiper blade effectiveness, hose condition and tyre pressure. For all your servicing requirements, book your Service on-line.
Brakes
The brake system is one of the most important safety features on your vehicle. When you apply pressure to the brake pedal, the brake system is activated which stops your vehicle in the shortest distance possible. Because brakes are integral to the protection of you, your family and your vehicle, it's wise to have an expert regularly check they are functioning correctly. Visit Westpoint Ford Service Centre for a comprehensive inspection of your car's brake system.
Suspension
Properly functioning suspension components are vital to a vehicle's handling and safety, as well as ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride for occupants. Incorrect wheel alignment and worn shock absorbers or suspension springs can dramatically reduce the effectiveness of your car's suspension system. For a thorough suspension check, make sure you visit Westpont Ford Service Centre.
How do I keep my car looking good?
It's a good idea to wash your car often, polish it at least twice a year and vacuum it as required. Avoid parking under trees (especially ones with birds) or in industrial areas, which may contain heavy fallout. To avoid paint damage, foreign matter such as bird droppings should be cleaned off immediately.
Engine Oil
Make sure your car is on level ground. Start the engine, let it run for a short while, and then turn it off. While your engine's still warm, remove the dipstick, and wipe clean with a lint-free rag. Reinsert the dipstick fully; otherwise you'll get a false reading. Remove the dipstick and check the oil level. If it's reading low, top up your oil using the correct grade as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
Note: Do not run your engine if no oil is showing on the dipstick
